Application form

Desired name of the team. It should allow your future team members to clearly identify the team. The institution’s abbreviation will automatically be added as a prefix.
Note: Depending on your workflow, it may make sense for your group to collaborate either within one large team or across several smaller teams. eLabFTW enables the management of visibility and editing rights for groups of users independent of teams through so-called user groups. This allows the definition of both subgroups within a team and cross-team project groups.

Name and email address of the person who will be designated as the first team admin and will automatically gain access to the team on the eLabFTW instance provided by HS-ITZ. This person can later independently promote group members to additional team admins. Team admins are responsible for managing the team, i.e., among other things, onboarding and offboarding members, and defining team-specific rules and settings.
Recommendation: 2–3 team admins per team. At least one team admin should hold a permanent position.

Name and email address of the institution associated with the team at the university or university of applied sciences. This may be, for example, a professorship, department, faculty, or another structural unit. The email address may belong to a supervisor, a secretary’s office, or a functional address of the institution. It serves as a contact option that is independent of changing responsibilities within the teams. An institution may apply for multiple teams.

Name of the associated institution (usually the university or university of applied sciences). The abbreviation shown in parentheses will be added as a prefix to the desired team name to facilitate differentiation within eLabFTW. If your institution is not listed but your research group is interested in using elabftw.hs-itz.de, please send your request to elabftw@tu-ilmenau.de.
