First NFDI workshop in Thuringia
The first workshop regarding “National Research Data Infrastructure“ with Thuringian members of the participating consortia will take place on August 13th in Jena.
The program for the development of a national research data infrastructure (NFDI) was initiated by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) on June 6th 2019 and is financed by the federal and state governments. Up to 30 consortia will be funded for up to five years, initially. A total of 50 letters of intention have been submitted to the DFG and many projects involve partners from Thuringia.
The workshop is intended to connect the members of the different consortia and to discuss means to support the realization of the projects. Representatives of the Thuringian Ministry for Economy, Science and Digital Society (TMWWDG) and central institutions of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena will also participate.
The workshop is organized by the Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management, which is funded by the TMWWDG as part of the Thuringian Strategy for Digitization in Higher Education.
