10 years of FAIR principles!

Description of the FAIR principles in English.

This year marks a major anniversary in the field of research data management, as the FAIR principles have turned 10 years old! They stand for Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable and provide guidelines on how research datasets should be prepared for reuse when published. The paper was published on March 15, 2016 by Wilkinson et al..

If you would like to learn more about the meaning and implementation of the FAIR principles, you can view the slides and video recording of our event FAIRify your Data 2.0 from Love Data Week. In this session, we also present our new FAIR Assessment Tool, which allows you to evaluate how well your dataset complies with the principles.
