REFODAT

Researchers should, whenever possible, publish the underlying research data alongside their results as supporting evidence. If no suitable subject-specific repository is available for this purpose, the Research Data Repository in Thuringia—REFODAT for short—can be used. It has been publicly accessible for two years and enables the publication of research data as standalone data publications.

As a new use case, REFODAT also offers the option of storing research data even when publication is not planned—for example, to meet data retention requirements set by third-party funding agencies.
