My Data, My Love: How to Wow the World with Your Data Publications - a Love Data Week 2024 Workshop

In this workshop you will learn how to select and prepare data for publication, where and how to publish them and how to maximise visibility for your publications and wow your colleagues and community. The workshop will come in two parts which together will exemplify our approach of "learning by doing".


Part 1: Learning

  • Basics and Definitons
  • Funder policies on data publication
  • Suitable Formats
  • Data Publication (Repositories, Persistent Identifiers, Licensing)
  • Increasing Visibility: Linked Data, References, Metadata, Documentation, Personal PID

 

Part 2: Doing

  • we are going to prepare data and publish them in the Zenodo sandbox

 

Data sets to practice publishing with will be provided to participants, but if you'd prefer, you can also bring your own data.
