5S Data: Organization is not a 4-letter word!
Wed Jan 27 2021 02:00 pm
The 5S work design (also called 5A in Germany) is a methodology popularized in production systems in the 2000s by Toyota. It consists of the methods: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. In 2019, the University of Helsinki connected the methodology to research data and popularized it as "5S-Data". This Coffee Lecture will go into detail about the steps and how to implement them in relation to projects with research data. Different solutions and portals will be presented that can help researchers to implement the 5S-Data principles. The Coffee Lecture will be held in German, but the presentation slides will be made available in both German and English.
