TKFDM goes LOVE DATA WEEK 2025
LOVE DATA WEEK is an international week of action dedicated to discussing research data. Under the motto "Whose Data Is It, Anyway?", Love Data Week 2025 will be celebrated worldwide from February 10th-14th with numerous events on a wide variety of RDM topics. More information about the German Love Data Week as well as an overview of all participating events can be found at forschungsdaten.info.
TKFDM will participate in LOVE DATA WEEK 2025 with four different events:
"Wie bekomme ich mein Poster schnell lesbar für alle?"
Monday, February 10, 2025 | 3:00 - 4:00 pm
In this hands-on event, we want to share our efforts to make outputs universally accessible
How can documents be checked for accessibility?
How do I interpret the outputs of an accessibility check?
What steps can I take to improve documents (e.g. posters and presentations)?
What things can I take into account when creating documents to make them as accessible as possible?

"Das ABC zum sicheren Umgang mit personenbezogenen Daten im Forschungsalltag"
Tuesday, February 11, 2025 | 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This workshop will provide participants with a concise introduction to key data protection concepts in research data management (RDM), including the nuances of personal data, key data protection terminology, anonymization, pseudonymization, and the distinction between data protection and data security. The focus is on the responsible handling of personal data throughout the research data lifecycle.

"Der AI Act und seine Auswirkungen auf die Forschung: Eine Interpretation"
Wednesday, February 12, 2025 | 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
The Artificial Intelligence Act, or AI Act for short, which came into force on August 1 2024, represents a significant step towards regulating the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the European Union. The Act aims to promote the responsible and safe use of AI. In this presentation, the roles defined in the AI Act will be presented and their relevance for researchers will be assessed. Furthermore, the classification of AI systems into different risk categories and their impact on research on AI systems will be discussed. The term AI in the AI Act is relatively broad. The implementation of the regulations and further developments, especially regarding research, should be followed in the future.

"Forschungsdatenmanagement für Projektleitungen"
Thursday, February 13, 2025 | 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
This workshop is specifically aimed at Principal Investigators of research projects (professors, junior professors, postdocs). It offers an introduction to the most important aspects of RDM, from application to implementation, with a focus on the specific requirements of the funding institutions. In addition, the workshop will provide an insight into the resources and support structures for research data management at the Friedrich Schiller University.
