NFDI4Chem and NFDI4BioDiversity will be funded

As the press office of the Joint Science Conference (GWK) announced today, nine consortia of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) will be funded in the first round. Among these are two consortia with participation of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena: NFDI4Chem (Prof. Christoph Steinbeck) and NFDI4BioDiversity (Prof. Birgitta König-Ries).

The funding decision was based on the recommendation of the NFDI Expert Committee. In total, 22 consortia applied for funding in the first round of applications. From 2019 to 2028, up to 90 million euros will be provided annually to develop and promote the NFDI.
